Thank you to everyone who made the fifth Bath Festival of Children’s Literature a big success!
This year’s festival, which took place from 23 September – 2 October sold more tickets, reaching more children than ever before, with events spread far and wide across city centre venues and into local schools.
The ten day festival set the scene for bestselling author Jacqueline Wilson’s biggest ever event with a grand total of 1424 people in attendance. Authors, storytellers and illustrators including Jeremy Strong, Robert Muchamore, Andy Stanton, Francesca Simon, Roddy Doyle, Cressida Cowell and David McKee inspired and entertained packed audiences with tales of dragons, spies and brave adventurers. There was something to cater for all ages with craft activities, sports, zombies, tips for aspiring writers and lots and lots of humour.
